New In: Vintage,River Island, Topshop, Urban Outfitters..

HI!

I have literally spent my whole week shopping! literally.
I think I more than likely spent half of my summer wages.
Can't bring myself to look at my bank balance.

BUT I did buy some nice new stuff that I definitely ''needed''.
I went to Dublin on Tuesday to see Chicago the musical (which was so so amazing)
and then spent 2 days shopping.

While I was there I went to this uh-mazing vintage shop called The Harlequin,
It actually has everything but you would need hours to look rummage around.
I also got a really decent pair of Topshop Allegra look-alikes from
a really good website called soyoushoes . They do have similar ones
out again in Topshop but these are a fraction of the price.

I'm moving back to college next week which i'm not overly excited about because I
hate packing. SO MUCH TO DO.

But anyway, Here is what I got.
 Have a nice weekend,

L xo

Alteration: Cotton Face Vintage Dress

Sorry I have been away quite a bit lately I'm finishing up work
this week (doing a 60 hour week) Cant wait for that paycheck.
So from next week on I should have more time to do so much more posts.
I am also going on a shopping trip next week. eeep!

A few Weeks ago I bought a dress from Cotton Face Vintage.
When I got it I knew I would have to to a few alterations to make it fit
as it was down to my ankles nearly and the sleeves just didn't suit me.

SO, I decided to cut off the sleeves and shorten it.
I did this a few weeks ago but the photos got lost and I am just after finding them.
It did turn out a little shorter than I had planned but I did wear a body con skirt underneath
just incase.

D.I.Y: Studded Galaxy Print Collar

I went to the shop today to specifically buy a bottle of bleach
to mess around with. My dad thinks I have lost my mind.
Anyway, I decided to try a galaxy print collar after seeing
lots of people doing galaxy print t-shirts.
It actually wasn't that difficult.

So,

What You'll Need:

A collar (cut off an old shirt)
Bleach
Paint (fabric paint if possible)
Dry (old) Toothbrush
A tumble dryer or a hair dryer.
Pins
Sponge or spray bottle
Studs

Step One:
Cut a Collar off an old shirt

Step Two:

Pinch, Twist and Pin The Fabric

Step Three:

Next put some bleach onto the sponge or in the spray bottle.
I actually used a sock. Dab on the bleach covering all of the collar.
( I did both sides)

Don't go too mad with the bleach as you only want the colour to fade not burn a hole through it.
Leave for 5 to 10 minutes. You can leave longer depending on fabric but with some shirt
fabrics they tend to turn grey if left too long.

Then rinse the collar and pop it into the dryer for 10 mins. or use a hairdryer.

Step Four:

Now get your paint (purples, Blues and Turqoise work best)
I actually used acrylic paint , but if you plan on attaching it to a dress or top
that you will be washing regularly I suggest Fabric Paint.

Using the sponge ( or Sock) Dab on the paint just like the bleach.
You may need to leave dry and do multiple layers to build up colour.

Lastly get an old toothbrush and some watered down white paint and flick on the colour.
I would highly suggest wearing gloves for all of this. I didn't. I was a mess. So was my floor.

You may need to go back and add some colour.
When finished leave dry and
boom. job done.

I actually added 3 studs to the collar just because I had them lying around
but they are removable so you can wear the collar both ways.

Hope you enjoyed, and if you guys have any other galaxy diy jobs
leave a link below, I would love to have a look.

Have a nice Weekend,

L xo

''You Look Like Jessie J''

Eeeep So i'm finishing up work next week for the summer so I'm
just working like crazy at the mo trying to save as much as I can.
I cant wait! I'll be going back to college pretty soon as well which I also
cant wait for. Mainly just because I get to live with friends again for the year.
Kind of cracking up here all summer.

I decided the last day wear my disco pants out for a while.
The reaction I got was, well, mixed.
My mom asked me were they painted on and my brother asked
if I had intended on going to space that day.
He also said my outfit made me look like Jessie J.
He definitely didn't mean it as a compliment. As far
as I know he doesn't like her too much.
Regardless, I have completely fallen in love with them.
They are so comfy and go with everything!
So if you are debating whether to get the real pair of one of the many dupes
out there, go with the real! worth every (expensive) penny.

Talk Soon,

P.S.. I just finished 50 shades of grey...Terrible book. That's all.

New In and OOTD: Surprises, Shutterbug and Sunshine

Hi Hi Hi Hi Hi

Sorry I have been away for a few days but Ireland has actually had some sun!
Seeing as we don't get it very often (maybe a few days a year) I was out in it without
any electrical device.
It's really weird having any kind of hot weather here, and I am so incapable of dressing in it.
It just confuses me. I'm so used to tights and coats, bare legs midday is just mental for me!

However I didn't let that stop me from venturing outwards and doing more shopping!
Somebody please stop me from spending.
After this week i'm done. (lies)

So I did get a few bits. My mum actually got me this top and I was surprised how much I liked it.
Also I bought this adorable lil skirt from Shutterbug which I havnt worn yet but hopefully I will soon.

I FINALLY got American Apparel Disco Pants. eeep. I know they are
crazy expensive but they are deffo worth it.
Mine are a size S which is approx a uk 8-10 in case anyone is wondering.

Ok enough talk,
Enjoy the photos,
Talk Soon,

New In: Topshop, Primark and Mac

Such a busy week, I apologise for my lack of blogging.
It's races week where I live and work and traffic and the whole city really has just been mental,
It's hard to get anything done. Today though I managed to make a trip into town early enough to avoid traffic
and picked up a few bits. I also got my make up done in Mac.
I never really get my make up done to just go out but I had to buy new foundation and thought
I might aswell just get it done while I'm there.
The Mac artist persuaded me do go for a red lip even though I feel like it wont last as
it's only 4 pm now and I wont be going out til 9. eeeek.

I have gone a little crazy lately with spending money, Sometimes being paid weekly is a curse.
I'm supposed to be saving for college, a car and a camera.... NOT gonna happen.

The outfit (which is on a mannequin and not floating mid air) was what I wore today.
I got changed into my comfy clothes before I had a chance to take a pic. so lazy.

Anywho,

Talk Soon,

L xo
