Button Factory.

Yes, I am alive. Ok so it has been far to long since I've posted, but life really does get in the way sometimes. To fill you all in, I passed all my exams, I got into college and I'm moving out next week. eeeek. I'm going to be studying art and design for the year. Words cannot explain how excited I am.

However, that is no excuse for leaving my poor little blog idle for so long. Honestly when I did have free time I just couldn't write and I don't want to post any old rubbish. I want to like what I put up because if I don't, how can I expect anyone else to like it. I think I've found my blogging mojo again though and can't wait to get going.

Now on to more exciting things, It's Autumn! ( and yes I know it has technically been autumn for like a month already but it doesn't start until September for me). Autumn/Winter fashion is my favourite and I have to peel myself away from the computer to stop me from buying everything in the ''new in'' section of online stores. Help!

I did pick up one or two things the last day though from Primark (my complete weakness). Whenever I go there though there is always so many things I like but there's normally something wrong like the hem is too long or the buttons are ugly. These however, can be changed.

Got this dress and cardigan and thought wow those are ugly buttons. So I decided to replace them with nicer ones.

And wallah, Nicer clothing. It really doesn't take much to change the whole look of an item so remember that when you're out shopping. :)

I really hope you guys are doing amazing and if you have any posts where you have done a bit of a diy job with clothes link them below and I will be more than happy to read them.
Have a great weekend.

Long time no see.

First of all I would like to apologize for my serious lack of blogging. I have been working so much and just haven't had the time. Secondly, Helloo to all my new followers. Thank you so much and I promise I will try to post more regularly when I get time off work. I've been reading all your comments and looking at all your blogs too :)

So this week has been rough, to say the least. Had been working day in day out and finally when I almost reach my days off, I get sick. My Doctor told me I had tonsillitis and to stay in bed for a few days. Not fun. So instead of enjoying my time off I spent 4 days cooped up indoors like a living infection. However, I'm feeling ever so slightly better and found the energy to write as I didn't want to leave you guys hanging any longer.

I haven't really had the chance to do much shopping or to really leave my house but I did order a skirt from Topshop that came a few days ago aaand I also bought new shoes. ( I have an addiction)
My camera has been playing up a lot lately so my photos lack basic quality. I've been saving up for a new canon which I cannot wait to get my hands on. Expect far better posts when that happens. eeek.

I actually love this skirt. It has a cute faux leather waistband that goes well with the lace. After trying on the skirt I realised it came with pockets. Pockets! I love pockets. Their so handy when your out and about and don't want to have the hassle of tagging along a huge sack we like to call handbags. So yes, oddly enough, these pockets kinda made my day. I don't think i'm the only one this happens to though or am I?

Newbies.

I recently ventured out to do a bit of shopping, mainly just for essentials but came upon this dress. I didn't think much of it first but decided to try it on anyway. People, if you are unsure about an item of clothing just try it on. Clothes were made for bodies and not hangers so they will look completely different on you. You may be pleasantly surprised. Has this ever happened to you?
This was the case with this dress. It's by a brand that i'm not overly familiar with called Selected but without even looking in the mirror I knew I needed to buy it. It is so comfortable on and the fabric is so light it's so easy to wear. The neckline is very flattering and the layers are sooo cute. Even though It is quite short This would come in handy if you wanted to wear it casually tucked into a pair of shorts or a shirt and some brogues, which I actually just got some new ones.yay. For a more dressy look I would throw on my pair of wedges I wore in one of my last posts and add some chunky jewelry. Hair possibly in a top knot or loose waves.
However, as much as I love this dress I did have one problem. The back of it is completely sheer. As in, not being able to come out of the dressing room wearing it because your underwear is 100 per cent visible, kind of sheer. I don't see why it wasn't just lined the whole way round but I sorted myself out with a little slip that goes perfectly under it so there was no love lost.Crisis averted.

I love how you can see all the scars on my knees in this picture. Falling came first nature to me when I was a kid.

Still having rubbish weather here apart from some sunny spells between showers.
:(

Let me know what you think,
Enjoy your weekend.

Two's company, Three's a crowd..

So my weekend alone (well I did have my dogs company) came to an end this evening. Re-enforced by my dad's extremely loud sneeze as he came through the front door. Seriously, I have no idea how a human can make such a noise. This sneeze also reminded me that weekends do come to an end, and going back to work after a few days off sick isn't at all exciting.( half past 7 start in the morning..bleugh). Anywho, enough sneezing.

I personally am a sunset person. I can't get enough of them and i'm lucky to have a great view of one every day. So enjoying my last moments of silence I took a few snaps.

Sometimes I get bored with coloured photos and find myself converting things to black and white for a change. It always makes photos seem more interesting, old and perfect looking.

Shorts are by far the most comfortable thing to wear and seeing as they have taken over the high street shops I have more than enough choice. I wear them out all the time as bending over isn't so dangerous compared to wearing a skirt. Those things can be lethal with a gust of wind. Let me know what you guys find most comfortable to wear out and about. :)

Meet Benny :)

Hope you all had a great weekend and enjoyed reading.

Ello Sunshine

Finally, some sun. My whole family has deserted me for the weekend so I decided to take advantage of both the peace and quite and the good weather to take some pictures.
I haven't been feeling overly fantastic all week but I managed to make it into town to pick up a few things, mostly from Primark. I absolutely love that place for everything. I found this bright rust/crimson orangey shirt and I fell in Love. It just has summer all over it. It  also has gorgeous pleats in the right places and it could easily suit any figure.
I've been living in pants for the past few months. They are quickly becoming a common occurrence in my wardrobe, regularly wearing them with everything.

I was so unsure about these shoes but I managed to convince myself to buy them. I think they go pretty well with my outfit and they are so amazingly comfortable, mind you I did have a bit of a stumble walking out the front door but I will blame that on my lack of practice with wedges. Let me know what you think about them.

My mum likes to fill old boots with flowers. I do appreciate her creativity.

Hope you enjoyed this post and that you are having a great weekend.

Inhibited by the weather...

Unfortunately and not surprisingly the weather here has been, well to say the least, crap. This in turn has kind of messed up my plans for beautiful sun-kissed shots. So I settled for a plain background  (and wooden floors). As you can probably tell from the dust on my sunglasses, they haven't had much use so far this season but it did however, match my outfit. I've had these few pieces for a while and decided to just throw them together as I am bored being stuck indoors due to the rain. Sad face.

Here goes nothing..

One day I stumbled upon a site called blogger and I was instantly interested in what I could do with it. So......today (the start of my summer 2011) I have decided to start my own blog, (well obviously).
If you didn't know, My name is Lisa, I'm Irish and I am obsessed with all things fashion and I want my blog to revolve around that exact concept. However,I am no professional and this is basically just my life trip through fashion and you are more than welcome to come along.
I will try my best to post as often as I can as will continue to do so if you are willing to read :)
Sooooooooo thank you for reading this lil hello note and I hope you enjoy.
